An air conditioner provides cold air inside your home or enclosed space by actually removing humidity & heat and from the inside air. A standard air conditioner, ac or cooling system uses a special chemical called freon or refrigerant, and has four main parts or components: a compressor, a condenser coil, a metering device and an evaporator coil. The compressor raises the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant gas and sends it to the condenser or outside coil where it is condensed to a liquid. A fan blows indoor air across the cold evaporator coil where the heat from the air inside the home is absorbed into the refrigerant. The cooler air is then circulated throughout the home while the heated evaporated gas is sent back outside to the compressor. The heat is then released into the outdoor air and the refrigerant condenses to a liquid state.
